Saint Peter, martyr of Verona (also known as Peter the Martyr or Peter of Milan) is ambushed in a forest by a man with a sword. Peter has fallen to the ground and is trying to defend himself. On the right, another Dominican is looking at the sky where two angels with a palm branch have appeared. The print is part of a series of 53 prints after paintings by Titian and Veronese.
