In the temple, a group of people has gathered at the altar. The high priest Simeon kneels down before the Christ child held by the Virgin Mary. Behind Mary, Joseph looks on, leaning on his staff. On the far left, a woman holds a cage with two doves. The print is part of a series of 53 prints after paintings by Titian and Veronese.
