The two panels (inv. 1973-AE and -AF) showing the donors and patron saints worshipping the Holy Trinity originally formed a whole. By sawing the panel into two halves, about 2.5 centimetres were lost. However, the cloud that continues from one panel to the next clearly shows that this had been one panel. Seated on a throne, God the Father appears in an aureole of light surrounded by angels. His Son Jesus sits on His Father’s lap and shows us his wounds. The Holy Spirit appears as a dove on Jesus’ right shoulder. Behind the donors are St Peter and St Thomas on the right and St John the Baptist and a female saint on the left. The identity of the donors is not known.
