This medal was exhibited at the Salon of the Medal held during the 1910 World Fair in Brussels and was one of the medals struck as merits for the various sectors of agriculture. All these medals were commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior of Saxony. The German artist Hörnlein depicts a farmer working in the fields, with a plough pulled by two horses.
