Duke Robert d'Ursel succeeded his father as mayor of Hingene. He worked as a lawyer at the Ministry of the Interior. From the establishment of the "Compagnie de l'Exposition de Bruxelles", he played an important role in the administrative and executive committee preparing the World Fair in 1910. Eventually, he became the government representative for this exhibition. In this function, he was honoured with this portrait medal, designed by the Belgian artist Charles Samuel.
