The pupils from the ‘Letterdoos’ worked throughout the school year around language in art and art in their own environment. They sought inspiration from the works of art in the Museum of Fine Arts Ghent and then worked with them in the classroom.
The pupils created very diverse works inspired by the entire collection. They organised an art route in Oostakker where all local residents could view their works on the windows in their neighbourhood and during the school festival, the whole school was immersed in an arty atmosphere. Parents and children could sample various creative workshops, and enjoy beautiful works of art created by the children over the past school year.
