Christ and his disciples meet two possessed people at a tomb. No one dares to walk past the possessed. They ask Christ for help and he sends them to a herd of pigs further down by a lake. The pigs all plunge into the lake and the possessed are delivered from their demons. Illustration from the New Testament, Mat 8, 28. A title is displayed below the scene in Greek, English, German, Latin, French and Dutch. The print was used in the following books: Figures de la Bible (Amsterdam: Bernard Picart, 1720) and Taferelen der voornaamste geschiedenissen van het Oude en Nieuwe Testament [...] door de vermaarde kunstenaars Hoet, Houbraken, en Picart getekent [...] en met beschrijvingen uitgebreid (Den Haag: Pieter de Hondt, 1728).
