In a landscape, the naked Saturn stands on a pedestal as ruler of agriculture. He has a scythe in his hand and is devouring one of his children. Around Saturn, farmers are harvesting grain. In the sky, we see the symbols of Saturn (centre) and the constellations Capricorn (left) and Aquarius (right). The print is part of a series of seven representations called the planetary gods.
