The theme of the Temptation of Christ is set in a wooded river landscape. In the foreground, the Devil points to some stones on the ground and challenges Christ to turn them into loaves of bread. At the top of the mountain, he promises Christ all the kingdoms of the world (Matt 4:1-11).
