Landscape with Hagar in the middle, the second wife of Abraham. An angel stands next to her and points to a water source on the right. According to Genesis 21:14-19, Abraham had sent and her child Ismäel into the desert. When they run out of water, Hagar leaves her child under a bush (bottom left of the print). However, God sends an angel to lead Hagar to a water source. Thus God saved the lives of Hagar and Ismäel.
