The 'Gala des Choses en Vogue' was issued on the occasion of a soiree that took place in the Kursaal in Ostend in 1925. The evening was organised by 'Les Couturiers Norine', the fashion house of Paul-Gustave Van Hecke and his wife Norine. It is a luxuriously published programme, with a cover design by Frits Van den Berghe, printed in black and gold. On the gala evening, Evelyne Brélia sang among others the Norine-blues by Paul Magritte, a well-known piece of sheet music illustrated by his brother René Magritte. The programme brochure is very rare. Not even the artist's oeuvre catalogues mention it.
