The title Edgard Tytgat gave this painting was taken from one of the two tapestries he had made for the exhibition of decorative art in Paris in 1937. In the cartoon we see an idyllic landscape near the sea with two nude women dancing and a musician. The poetic line we see at the bottom of the design later inspired Tytgat to paint this mildly erotic work with five nude women frolicking in the waves. The title is written along the bottom of the painting too, which is quite exceptional, although we see it more commonly in his watercolours.
