Geo Verbanck designed this award medal for the Municipal Education in 1921-22. It was made in bronze, silver and gilt and used in both primary and secondary schools in Ghent. At the original issue for the school year 1921-22, these dates were added, the open field underneath serving to engrave the name of the pupil. In 1926, the last plaque was handed out.
