The front of this plaque depicts a seated woman in draped robes, holding a winged helmet. On the ground lies a horn of plenty and in the background is a panorama of factories and activity. The reverse shows a laurel tree with, against its trunk, a hammer, a plough and two serpents wriggling. Next to it is a thistle. This plaque was offered to various people or institutions by the Comité français des expositions à l'étranger, with space on the reverse for an inscription.
