This plaque depicting an old man in prayer was published by the firm BH Mayer. This firm was founded in 1897 by Bernard Heinrich Mayer, the father of this plaque's engraver, Rudolf Mayer. This art plaque was struck in both silver and bronze, in three different sizes. A larger copy was cast in bronze.
