The MSK is the first museum in Flanders to receive the international 'Green Key' label, an additional confirmation of the efforts made around sustainability.
VCDO: a charter for a sustainable future
In 2020, the MSK became the first museum to subscribe to the VOKA Charter for Sustainable Enterprise (VCDO). Through a concrete action plan, the museum aims to reduce its ecological footprint and inspire the public towards a sustainable society.
Visit the museum with Enchanté
For some people, a museum visit is not financially feasible and the threshold for culture is therefore very high. Thanks to our partnership with Enchanté VZW, you can donate tickets for a postponed visit.
Artistic green on the MSK's doorstep
Since spring 2022, you will find a series of artfully inspired green spaces along the museum building. The lawn was replaced by more varied vegetation, with shrubs and perennials that appear in the paintings.
UiTPAS: an extra set of advantages
Holders of an 'UiTPAS regio Gent' are entitled to discounts and exchange benefits at the MSK. With an 'UiTPAS regio Gent' at social rate, you can even visit the entire museum for just a few euros.
MSK joins #sogetinformed!
In 2021, a red line was installed on the facade of the MSK at a height of 2 metres. In doing so, the museum draws attention to rising sea levels. The action was part of a broader campaign in cultural locations throughout Belgium.
MSK and Compagnie Cordial
MSK partnes with Compagnie Cordial for events such as Late Thursdays. Refu Interim is not a real interim office but looks for volunteer work for people who are new to Belgium. It offers them the chance to meet new people, practice Dutch and get to know organisations like MSK.
Sustainable team building
Looking for an original teambuilding or group activity? From autumn 2024, groups can help build a socially, socially and ecologically sustainable society. In cooperation with Dokano, Mub'Art and Yoga Centre Ghent, the MSK offers day packages.
