FERNAND LéGER

FERNAND LÉGER
LE GRAND DÉJEUNER, A MASTERPIECE ON LOAN

The MoMA (Museum of Modern Art, New York) loaned Fernand Léger's painting 'Le grand déjeuner' to the MSK. This work was created in 1921 and is representative for the post-cubist period of the French artist. This exceptional loan was an excellent opportunity to examine Léger's influence on the development of Flemish expressionism (Gustave De Smet, Frits Van den Berghe, Constant Permeke).
